'Flick on the Field' returns with free screening of 'Rudy' Friday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The University of Notre Dame announced the return of "Flick on the Field," with a free screening of the 1993 film, "Rudy," on Friday night at Notre Dame Stadium.

The screening is free and open to the public, with gates opening at 8:30 p.m. and the movie starting at 9 p.m.

The film stars Sean Astin and tells the story of Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger, who goes to play football for the University of Notre Dame.

Attendees should enter the stadium through Gate D.

Concessions such as popcorn, candy, water and fountain drinks will be available for purchase.
