Florida experiences record cold temps in spring

Most people hoping to get away from the cold were disappointed when they headed south.

The Sunshine State was filled with clouds, high winds, and record cold temps. The temperature barely reached into the 60's.

"I was hoping it would be a lot warmer so we could lay out on the beach but it is still cool to just hang out up here," said a vacationer.

Vacationing families and spring breakers were not deterred by the cool weather, still hitting the beaches bundled up.

Forecasters are predicting a warm-up, into the 70s, by the weekend.
