Tonight, Michiana will be cloudy with areas of fog and drizzle overnight. Temperatures will remain in the mid-40s into Christmas Eve. The fog should clear out before Rudolph takes off on Sunday. Highs should make it into the middle 50s under cloudy skies. Christmas Day still looks very mild and likely will finish as a top-10 warmest Christmas in South Bend with temperatures in the mid-50s. While showers are possible in the morning, the rain will become steadier in the afternoon. Showers will wrap up on Tuesday morning. Highs will still be in the 50s on Tuesday but should sink closer to 40 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday. Rain and snow showers are likely late Wednesday into Thursday, with a few snowflakes possible by Friday.
