After closure in 2020, YMCA reopens in downtown
SOUTH BEND, Ind.—Football Fridays in downtown South Bend are back at The Gridiron.
Family friendly activities will be available downtown from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on September 18 to celebrate before the Notre Dame vs. South Florida football game on Saturday.
Fans can get carryout from downtown restaurants and dine on the Gridiron where socially distant seating and a free concert will be available.
The 100 block of South Michigan Street will be closed for the duration of the tailgate event.
Tables and chairs will be cleaned and sanitized by the Downtown South Bend Ambassadors throughout the evening.
Hand sanitizer will be available at the free event.
The number of people in the seating area will be limited to 250 people.
Masks will be required at the event except for when eating or drinking.
