ELKHART, Ind. -- The fire that destroyed Forest River plant 59 last week is being investigated as arson, according to Elkhart Police reports.

Lt. Travis Snider of Elkhart Police says normally a report is issued within three days, but has not been completed due to the size of the fire.

Elkhart Police, the State Fire Marshal and Elkhart Fire are all working on the investigation.

The fire happened on March 12 at 411 CR 15.

Reports indicate the fire started between 3:29 and 3:39 p.m.

Firefighters were called to the scene around 3:45 p.m. It took several hours to get the fire under control.

The building was a total loss.

Forest River manufactured Vibe Trailers at plant 59.

No one was injured in the fire.
