SOUTH BEND, Ind. - A former South Bend Cubs player witnessed Sunday’s massacre in Las Vegas.
Catcher Tyler Alamo was at the concert with friends when bullets started to fly.
He talked to 95.3 MNC’s Mark McGill about the tragic experience.
Five of his friends were shot and two were killed.
Alamo says he’s recovering, but this is something he never expected during a fun evening with friends.
He ended up running for safety with a complete stranger.
“I looked at a girl that I didn’t even know right in the face, and I said ‘you’re going to hold my hand and we’re going to run for our lives,’” Alamo said.
