Four juveniles rescued from Warren Dunes State Park

BERRIEN, Mich. -- At approximately 6:18 p.m. on Sunday, the Baroda-Lake Police Department was dispatched to Warren Dunes State Park in response to a drowning call.

Four South Bend-area juveniles were reportedly in distress, with bystanders assisting two swimmers to shore, while first-responders recovered the remaining two juveniles from the water.

All four are currently at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph Michigan, although their condition is unknown at this time.

The Baroda-Lake Police Department was assisted by the Chikaming Police Department, Three Oaks Police Department, Lake and Chikaming first-responders, the US Coast Guard, and Medic 1.
