The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians’ Four Winds Casinos donated $10,000 to the Kelly Cares Foundation on Monday. The money was raised by employees during a month-long fundraiser for breast cancer awareness.
Employees at the casinos participated in a breast cancer awareness themed pumpkin decorating contest.
Employees voted for their favorite pumpkins with donations made by payroll deduction.
Employees raised nearly $7,600 and the casino added the remainder to total $10,000.
“We are proud to see this come together,” said Scott Brewer, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, Community Relations and Security at Four Winds Casinos. “The friendly competition and creativity are amazing, but the way our employees get behind these fundraisers is what makes this so great.”
The winners attended the check presentation with Paqui Kelly of the Kelly Cares Foundation.
