ABC57 digs into rising utility bills causing regional outrage
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A four-year-old was shot in South Bend on Tuesday morning, according to St. Joseph County Dispatch.
At 9:37 a.m., a call came in reporting that a four-year-old was shot in the foot in the 1100 block of Queen Street.
A preliminary investigation shows that the child obtained the firearm and accidentally fired it, police said.
The child was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
An emaciated dog found at the scene was taken by Animal Control.
Two adults, identified by police as Terry Nailon and Rickey Williams, were arrested for neglect of a dependent and neglect of a vertebrae animal.
