Newton Park

LAKEVILLE, Ind. -- Families are invited to Newton Park on Oct. 18 and 19 for a Halloween celebration including trunk or treating, food trucks, and more.

Events on both days are free and open to the public.

On Saturday, gates open at 6 p.m., with activities and offerings for the day including trunk or treating, chili cook-off, food trucks, costume fun and other Halloween-themed activities.

Organizers say there will be early gate access at 5 p.m. for special needs and medically fragile families only to provide a comfortable and accessible experience. Newton Park is located at 801 N. Michigan St.

“Halloween in the Park brings our community together in such a fun and safe way,” said Cindy Brooke, Event Coordinator. “We’re proud to offer something for everyone — and at no cost to families.”

Sunday night includes a free movie night at the Newton Park Indoor Facility, at 701 N. Michigan St.

Organizers will screen Disney's Halloween classic "Hocus Pocus" beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Seating is open, and costumes are welcome.

No alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or weapons are permitted at either day's events.

You can find more information or register a trunk for the event online.
