Frigid temperatures, more snow tonight

Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect for Berrien and Cass counties at 7pm this evening, with heavier lake effect snow expected through the overnight; this advisory lasts until 1pm Monday. All of Michiana will be frigid, conditions similar to yesterday though there will be more clouds. Chances for some widespread snow increase into the evening and overnight hours with another cold front approaching our area. Most of Michiana will see a trace of snow, but the cold front switches wind direction to a more westerly flow than previous though, bringing chances for lake effect snow through Monday morning into more of central Michiana. Areas in northern Berrien County could see and additional 6 inches to what's already of the ground, areas north of US-31 will likely see an inch or more. The cold front brings bitterly cold temperatures for Tuesday morning, feels like temperatures in the negative double digits. Some slightly warmer conditions are headed our way, though snow chances don't truly leave the forecast until Thursday.

Today: Gathering clouds, frigid, breezy, light evening snow. High 18.
Tonight: Breezy, bitterly cold. Widespread snow, then lake effect snow for northern Michiana. Low 8.
MLK Jr. Day: Lake effect snow continues through the morning. Breezy, bitterly cold. High 12.
Tuesday: Bitterly cold morning. Some sun, breezy. High 18.
