GCC’s annual Food Drop will bring food boxes to over 6,000 families this Saturday
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Granger Community Church in Granger and Elkhart is hosting its annual Food Drop for families in need, and both church campuses are looking for volunteers to help distribute boxes of food.
This Saturday, January 23, volunteers will be meeting in the parking lots of the two churches for a socially distanced food drive.
Beginning at 9 a.m., volunteers will work together to assemble food boxes and load them onto trucks and semi-trailers to be delivered to local food pantries, homeless shelters, and neighborhoods around Michiana.
The food will be distributed to the following places:
- South Bend:
- Food Bank of Northern Indiana
- Hope Ministries
- Center for the Homeless
- Monroe Circle Community Center
- Mishawaka:
- MAC Food Pantry
- Elkhart:
- Church Community Services
- Faith Mission
- St. Paul’s United Methodist Church
- Susanna’s Kitchen
- Goshen:
- The Window
- Edwardsburg:
- Edwardsburg Food Pantry
- Cassopolis:
- Helping Hands of Cass County
- Niles:
- Christian Service Center
- Nappanee:
- Family Christian Development Center
- New Carlisle:
- New Carlisle Community Food Pantry
