GM plant lays off over 500 employees

ROMULUS, Mich. — General Motors is laying off over 500 workers at the Romulus, Mich. plant. According to the AP, the layoffs start in August and run through late 2015.
GM is rebuilding the inside of the factory to make a new, more efficient V-6 engine.
The upgrade will cost $390 million.
