GOP fundraiser accused of date rape

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah -- A major GOP fundraiser in Utah is facing rape, kidnapping and sexual battery charges.

Gregory Peterson is a Republican fundraiser known for hosting huge events for GOP figures.

He is now accused of raping four different women at his cabin after meeting them online.

And even though he is Republican, both parties are weighing heavily on his behavior.

"Whether you're a Republican or a Democrat, is irrelevant. The allegations are serious, the crime that is alleged is serious," Sim Gill, Salt Lake district attorney, said.

Those who may have benefited from Peterson's money are now keeping their distance.
