Goshen College Short Film Festival returns April 23
Goshen College GOSHEN, Ind. -- The Goshen College Short Film Festival returns April 23 at the Goshen Theater on April 23 at 7 p.m.
The free event, open to the public, will showcase films made by the college's Film Production Program students.
These are capstone short films that have been worked on throughout the school year.
The short films included are as follows:
- "The Display” by the Film Production LA May Term Class, World Premiere
Synopsis - "Linda, the owner of a charming clothing boutique, finds herself at a crossroads in her career. Faced with a challenging decision, she turns to an old friend who might hold the key to her future. As they reconnect, Linda embarks on a journey of self-discovery and unexpected opportunities, leading her to redefine her path and embrace new possibilities."
- "Burning” by Isabel Massud, a senior film production major from São Paulo, Brazil
Synopsis - "After losing her sister, Victoria still carries the weight of her passing. But when she finds how to make things right, Victoria takes unconventional measures that would change the outcome of her future."
- "I See Color” by Ryan Carrillo, a senior film production major from Goshen, IN.
Synopsis - "After her mother’s death, Violet struggles with grief as her world begins to change color."
- "A Thousand Suns” by Matija Margetic, a senior film production major from Zagreb, Croatia
Synopsis - "After moving to the U.S. and leaving behind his ill mother, a withdrawn teenager Luka bonds with his estranged uncle Dino over shared grief for their loved ones."
- "Qui Est Là?” by Jonam Sapkota, a senior film production major from Kathmandu, Napal.
Synopsis - "A thrilling story of one man's nightmares invading his real life through a mysterious mask. Is he still dreaming or has his terrors come to life?"
- "The Empty Chair” by Lindsey Daniels, a senior film production major from Goshen, IN.
Synopsis - "When a college student comes home to find her grieving parents locked in a silent battle over a place setting left for their dead daughter, she must force them to see each other — and her — before the family fractures completely."
