BRISTOL, Ind. — A man on a motorcycle dislocated his leg as he tried to run from police.
William Helms of Goshen was riding his motorcycle in Bristol late Friday night. Police say they attempted to make a traffic stop, but the 42-year-old fled.
When Helms came to an intersection, he went off the road, striking a tree. He was ejected from his bike and taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Police are investigating Helms for operating while intoxicated and resisting law enforcement.
