Goshen man killed in vehicle accident in LaGrange

According to the La Grange County Sheriff's Department, one person was killed and three were injured in a two vehicle accident on US20 Thursday evening in Newberry.

Deputies say Richard Keck was driving a Ford van towing a trailer eastbound on US20 when he lost control of the vehicle, crossed the center line and slid sideways into oncoming traffic.

A vehicle headed westbound struck the passenger side of the van.

The driver of the van, a passenger in the van and the driver of the westbound vehicle were taken to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment.

Van passenger Jeremy Lemarr, of Goshen, was pronounced dead on the scene.

Deputies say the accident was a result of road conditions caused by the weather.
