LANSING, Mic. -- Michigan Gov. Grethen Whitmer announced her statewide "Get-Shit-Done Tour" kicked off Sunday.

Whitmer states the tour is meant to highlight bipartisan accomplishments, State of the State proposals, and Michigan’s progress over the past seven years.

Whitmer began the tour with 20 interviews speaking with media about her priorities on literacy, housing, and healthcare heading into 2026.

“We are building a Michigan for All by delivering on the kitchen table issues that make a real difference in people’s lives,” said Whitmer. “I’m excited to kick off my G-S-D Tour, talking about the work we’ve done to move Michigan forward over the past seven years and listening to Michiganders about the issues that matter most to them. Right now, families and businesses are dealing with high costs and economic uncertainty. I’ll work with anyone to build more housing, help every child read, and protect access to quality, affordable health care. Let’s keep getting stuff done for Michiganders.”
