Governor Braun announces $1 billion towards agricultural job growth

Governor Mike Braun

INDIANAPOLIS -- Governor Mike Braun announced Tuesday an agricultural and life sciences investment of $1 billion seeking to create 100,000 jobs over 10 years.

According to Governor Braun, the $1 billion funds, meant to go towards creating high-paying jobs, will be "tied to measurable outcomes to ensure accountability and long-term return on investment."

“Based on measurable outcomes to ensure accountability and long-term ROI," Governor Braun said, "this investment will make Indiana the re-shoring and expansion epicenter and premier destination for human therapeutics, animal health, agritech, biotechnology, and environmental innovation.”

Governor Braun also announced that the Central Indiana Regional Development Authority would be the first regional steward to manage the initiative's execution.
