ELKHART, Ind. – The Mayor’s Office announced that Grand Prix in downtown Elkhart has been rescheduled for the dates of September 25-26.
Officials say that rescheduling the event will allow the city to fully utilize the newly constructed Central Park facilities.
Pre-race activities will take place on September 25 in the afternoon and kart racing will commence that evening.
September 26 will feature kart racing, Selge Construction children’s activities, the Premium Concrete Corn Hole Tournament, all concluding with a Saturday evening awards banquet, Clayton Anderson concert and finale fireworks.
USAC Racing President & CEO Kevin Miller released a statement on the rescheduled event, saying, “We are excited to announce the revised dates of September 25-26 for the Thor Industries Elkhart Grand Prix presented by Genesis Products!”
