Grant for learning loss to fund tutoring in St. Joseph Public Schools

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich.- Classroom teachers from the district will provide individualized tutoring and support for struggling students in the elementary schools.

Funded by a grant from the state of Michigan, this program facilitates the overarching goal of addressing learning loss.

While the program is only in elementary schools currently, the district is looking to implement tutoring at the middle school level, as well as use funding from the grant to improve summer school programs for high school students.
