Gun drive for gift cards

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- Get "buck for your bang!"
That's the slogan of Michigan City Police Department's gun drive. It's all in an effort to keep dangerous weapons off city streets.
Michigan City officers say you can get a $50 gift card to Walmart for trading in a handgun at their police department.
Bring a shotgun or rifle and they will give you a $25 card.
The police department will not accept airsoft, pellet, BB, starter, or toy guns.
Gift cards are given out on a first come first serve basis.
The event starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 2:00 p.m. Officers will take guns Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
