Gurley Leep set to build dealerships at Cleveland Road and Capital Avenue

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The annexation for the rezoning of land at Cleveland Road and Capital Avenue has been approved for an auto mall for Gurley-Leep.
The developer for Gulrey-Leep said they plan to build eight dealerships on the north side of Cleveland Road.
A signalized intersection and driveaway will also be built on the west side of the site. The interior road system will be private
The intersection work will be done with Mishawaka on a development agreement, with water and sewage.
Amendments were added to original plan:
- Reduction in setbacks for buildings; minimum of 65 feet - Informational kiosk off Cleveland Road set within private driveway with large landscape area
- Reduction in pavement setback for roads; minimum of 18 feet on one side - Aims to improve amount of green space - Large grass strip all the way along Cleveland Road; 70 feet wide
- Reduction to maintain minimum of eight feet on interior portion 72-acre site; Trees every 25 feet
- Maintain 270 trees in all development; every 75 feet on Cleveland Road; Six-foot minimum height of trees near church
The Mishawaka Common Council approved the final site plan, which must abide by these guidelines.
Gurley-Leep is hoping to open the dealerships by 2027.
