Havilah Beardsley House celebrating Founder’s Day this weekend

ELKHART, Ind. – The Havilah Beardsley House is celebrating its Founder’s Day this Sunday with free admission for families.

On May 2 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., families can take a tour of the oldest brick house in Elkhart for free.

The house was built by Elkhart’s Founder in 1848 and was restored to a 1870s style by his son, James Rufus Beardsley.

The Ruthmere Mansion will be closed on this day.
