SHELBY COUNTY, Ind.—A hazmat specialist was called to a train derailment in Fountaintown on Thursday morning, according to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.

In a Facebook post around 11 a.m., IDHS said that hazmat specialists are called in to incidents like this to ensure that there are no hazardous material leaks.

Photos shared by the IDHS show multiple train cars damaged.

Police did not say if anyone was injured in the incident or what caused the derailment.

Fountaintown is about 25 miles east of Indianapolis.
