Heavy rain and thunderstorms will continue mostly for areas right along the toll road and northward for the late afternoon and evening hours. But, everyone should start to see the showers, storms, and even wind as we approach midnight. A steady rain should blanket everyone in Michiana after midnight through sunrise Sunday, making flooding a concern tonight, especially in Berrien and Cass counties. A Flood Warning is in effect for these areas until 8:30 PM while a Flood Watch will stay in effect through the night.
By Sunday morning, rain and wind will still hold in the area. Gusts could be as high as 40 mph as the rain should transition to lake effect showers for the afternoon. 63 degrees should be as warm as it gets in the area Sunday morning as the front finally pushes through, dropping temps into the lower 50s by the end of the day. But, the work week does look dry and sunny.
Tonight: Cloudy with heavy rain at times and some strong storms. Breezy. Low of 60.
Sunday: Cloudy with morning rain transitioning to lake effect showers in the afternoon. Windy. Morning high of 63 with temps falling into the lower 50s by the end of the day.
Monday: Mostly sunny. Highs near 60.
Tuesday: Sunny. Highs in the mid 60s.
