High school basketball player makes full court shot

BURRILLVILLE, R.I. — A game winning shot that is nearly impossible. A high school basketball player in Rhode Island chucked up a full-court hail mary at the buzzer, and it went in.

Senior Ben Girard made the shot from the other team's free throw line, and made it look easy. He's hoping to play college ball after graduation, and has a message for any scouts out there.

"I hit a full court shot so I must be pretty good," said Girard.

The play wasn't exactly what his coach had in mind. But since they ended up winning, he's not complaining.
