ELKHART, Ind. -- The nation commemorating the Memorial Day holiday and remembering those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the sake of our country.
Special ceremonies, parades and other events are making a comeback across Michiana after an unprecedented pandemic year.
In Elkhart, a special Memorial Day Ceremony will take place on Monday at 11 am at the Rice Cemetery honoring military personnel.
And, following the ceremony, the City of Elkhart is hosting the 2021 Memorial Day Parade in Downtown Elkhart that's kicking off at 2pm.
The parade will start on N. Main Street and will move through Lexington Avenue and will finish off at Waterfall Drive.
Anyone is welcome to come out to honor those who have served our country.
