Hospital opens tents to treat influx of flu patients

ALLENTOWN, Penn. — In Pennsylvania, an Allentown hospital is so overrun with patients that it has moved some of those patients into outdoor tents.

An area hospital set up tents outside to treat low-risk patients.

Hospital officials said this is the worst flu season they have ever seen at the hospital.

"We are loaded with a lot of patients that are testing positive for the flu," said nurse Cheryl Palm.

Only those with mild symptoms will be treated in tents.

The elderly, children or severely ill will still be treated inside the hospital.
