Lighter rain expected into the afternoon
Temperatures are a bit cool to start this morning hovering around 60, but we'll be seeing hot and sunny weather to kick off the holiday weekend. Anyone planning to attend the Notre Dame home opener today can expect temperatures in the 80's, staying hydrated will be important today! We should see a few more clouds build in later in the day with partly cloudy skies lasting overnight. Tomorrow will be even hotter with temperatures breaking into the 90's. It looks like the hottest day will be Labor Day, highs will be in the 90's again with heat indices nearing triple-digits. The heat continues through mid-week, but thunderstorms should break the heat heading into the end of the week.
