Indiana Black Expo celebrates Kwanzaa December 28

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The South Bend Chapter Indiana Black Expo, Inc. will host the annual Kwanzaa Celebration on December 28 in downtown South Bend.
The event starts at 6 p.m. in the Main Auditorium of the St. Joseph County Public Library, located at 304 S. Main St.
During celebrations, attendees will learn the meaning of the seven principles of Kwanzaa and honor elders in the South Bend community, including the following:
- Darryl Boykins
- Glenda Rae Hernandez
- Sharon Hurt
- Mike Jackson
- Adeline Wigfall-Jones
- Dr. Jan Sanders
Mamas Against Violence is the organization honoree this year.
Guests can also enjoy appearances by Uzima Drum and Dance and Joseph and Akila Karanja. A community feast will follow the celebration.
