Indiana Conservation Officers recover body from Ohio River

FLOYD COUNTY, Ind.—A death investigation is underway after Indiana Conservation Officers recovered a body from the Ohio River near New Albany on Sunday.

Officers were notified of a body reportedly floating in the river upstream from New Albany around 4 p.m.

The female victim was recovered around 5 p.m. Sunday.

A date and time for the autopsy has not yet been released and police did not share the victim’s identity.
