ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is trying something new this fall by offering a limited amount of gift packs containing park passes, magazine subscriptions, and gift cards.

"The gift packs, with only a limited quantity available, can be used the whole year, whether the recipient enjoys camping under the stars or sleeping in the comfort of an Indiana State Park Inn after enjoying the outdoors," DNR officials said. "The gift pack also saves you as much as $27 compared with buying the items individually."

Each gift pack includes a 2025 resident annual entrance pass, a one-year subscription to Outdoor Indiana magazine, and a choice between a $65 gift card at the campgrounds or a gift card of equal value at State Park Inns.

"The inns gift card can be used at any State Park Inn, as well as at the award-winning Pete Dye-designed golf course at Fort Harrison State Park in Indianapolis," said DNR officials. "The card can also be used for lodging, meals in the inns dining rooms, or gift purchases."

The camping gift card can also be used to buy a daily entrance pass, lake permits, horse tags, and any other items sold at gatehouses and park-operated stores and gift shops.

The gift packs -- which can only be purchased online -- will be available through Dec. 31, or until they are sold out.

Indiana currently has 36 total state park properties throughout the state.

The packs are roughly $103 for Indiana residents under the age of 65, and around $93 for Hoosiers 65 and older.

The packs are about $123 for out-of-state visitors.
