ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Indiana Senator Joe Donnelly is ready to help get federal disaster aid for Michiana after the recent floods.
Sen. Donnelly said reporting flood damage to officials is important.
"They’re gathering that information together so that the governor can review it. If the governor gives us a call and request government assistance were going to make every effort to make sure we can get that federal assistance to the state.”
Sen. Donnelly toured parts of South Bend, Elkhart, and Plymouth shortly after the February floods. He shared that every effort is going to be made to ensure assistance for the state.
Some Goshen residents can receive restoration grants already by applying to get money for repairs or to be reimbursed.
