Injured person found lying on railroad tracks in Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- An injured person was found lying on the railroad tracks at the CR 13 and Sunnyside Avenue rail crossing, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department.
The person was found around 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The person was taken to Elkhart General Hospital with a head laceration.
The crossing will be closed during the investigation.
