The Winter Storm Warning is still in effect until Sunday at 10AM. Heavy snowfall has made its way into Michiana and will become more widespread in the coming hours. This is the time when travel will become increasingly difficult with low visibility and messy/slushy roads. Try to avoid travel this evening if possible. Snowfall will begin to diminish overnight but lake effect snow showers will take over tomorrow morning. Snow fall amounts for most of the area are likely to range from 6-9"; however, northern Michiana counties are expected to exceed 9" by tomorrow. More snow chances return at the beginning of next week, but frigid temperatures will dominate heading into the first week of December.
Tonight: Heavy snow, some mixed precipitation. Low 26.
Sunday: System snow diminishing early AM; light lake effect continues. High 32.
Monday: Some morning lake effect snow, little additions to totals. System snow overnight. High 28.
Tuesday: AM system snow, Quieter by afternoon, frigid. High 28.
