Ireland Road in South Bend will experience temporary lane restrictions and closures beginning Tuesday, April 7, for pavement work. According to city officials, the work will be done on a 2.8-mile stretch from the western city limits to Ironwood Drive. Before paving work can begin, new curbs and driveway approaches will need to be completed.

Access to business in the impacted area will be maintained during construction. Ireland Road will remain open during paving, but traffic will be restricted to one lane. City officials expect the project to wrap by the end of June.
