Irish football remembering "Chicken Dance" from last year

With the Fighting Irish gearing up to face rival Michigan Saturday under the lights, Notre Dame fans cannot forget the ending to last year’s game up at the Big House.

As the players and Coach Kelly were leaving the field, the University of Michigan band played the Chicken Dance.

Michigan head coach Brady Hoke said Notre Dame was chickening out of the series by not playing against the Wolverines anymore.

When asked if there was any animosity leftover from 2013, Irish linebacker Joe Schmidt says his thoughts are in the present and future.

"I know that whatever happened, happened, But I'm really just worried about this game and that's in the past and I'm just trying to focus on now and it doesn't really matter to me,' said Schmidt.

Notre Dame’s marching band does not plan on any type of “off the books” celebration if the Irish win at home Saturday.
