Irish punch final ticket to Denver

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Fighting Irish are heading to the Rocky Mountains.

The Terps’ tall lineup was no test for top-seeded Notre Dame. The Irish blew out Maryland 80-49 Tuesday night.

Skylar Diggins had a triple-double, leading Notre Dame (34-3) to its second straight Final Four appearance.

The guard finished with 22 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds and five steals.

They will now take part in the Final Four and face Big East rival UConn. The Huskies beat Notre Dame 63-54 earlier this month.
