SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The final phase of the Wall Street Streetscape Project begins on Monday, October 13. Construction will shift to Wall Street between Ceaser Chavez and Ironwood drives. During construction, this section of the street will be closed, including the Wall Street and Ironwood Drive intersection. Work includes: 

• Installing a median refuge island for pedestrians crossing Ironwood Drive at Wall Street
  
• Constructing new curbs and sidewalks on the north and south sides of Wall Street
  
• Repaving Wall Street and the intersection
  
   The project is expected to be completed by the end of October, weather permitting. During the closure, the detour route will be Mishawaka Avenue and Jefferson Boulevard via Twyckenham Drive.
