ISP accepting applications for three Regional Dispatchers at Toll Road post

BRISTOL, Ind. – The Indiana State Police are accepting applications for three Regional Dispatchers at the Toll Road Regional Dispatch Center.

The available positions operate at the Regional Dispatch Center, which is located at 52422 CR 17.

A dispatcher is responsible to receive, record, and dispatch accurate information to police and other law enforcement services.

According to ISP, the communication programs used are the Computer Aided Dispatch System, Records Management System, Automatic Vehicle Locator, Geographic Information System, and other Regional Dispatch Center resources.

The dispatch center covers the length of the Toll Road and the Bristol District which includes Elkhart, St. Joseph, Marshall, and Kosciusko counties.

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required, and two years of public safety communications experience is preferred.

The dispatcher must be able to be seated in a confined area for extended periods of time.

The pay for this position starts at around $30,000 per year and there are benefits included.
