Joe Donnelly pays visit to South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- U.S. Senator-elect Congressman Joe Donnelly was in South Bend Sunday.

He walked through the Food Bank of Northern Indiana.

According to "Hunger in America 2010" nearly 700,000 Hoosiers each year seek out emergency food assistance.

Nearly half of those are seniors and children.

"It is incredibly humbling opportunity. I wanted to be able to say to everybody how grateful I am and what we can do in Washington to grow our state, create more jobs, create more opportunities, and create for our children an even better, stronger country," said Donnelly.

Donnelly was there to learn about the priorities of the Indiana Food Bank.
