INDIANA.-College is now 3-times more expensive for about 300 Indiana students who admitted they're illegal immigrants.
These students have to pay out of state tuition rates, thanks to new legislation that denies in state rates to students not in the country legally. At IU Bloomington, in state students pay about 9,500 dollars a semester. With out of state tuition, the total would be around 20,000.
Indiana is one of only six states to make this move.
