June Full Moon

In the United States, the strawberry season is relatively short, and most of the Native American tribes observed the season for this fruit in the month of June.

Thus, the moon for June is nicknamed The Strawberry Moon.

Interestingly, in Europe, this is the Rose Moon.  I am not sure if that correlates with the season for blooming roses, but that is what I would assume!

Other names for this moon include:

The Hot Moon, Dyad Moon, Green Corn Moon, Flower Moon, Honey Moon, Lotus Moon, Windy Moon, Moon when June berries are ripe, Moon to Horses, and the Planting Moon.
