MIDDLEBURY, Ind. -- The Middlebury Community Schools Police Department introduced Raider, a two-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever, as their newest member on Monday.

Raider will provide comfort and care services for students in the district as she visits each school.

Training exercises have prepared Raider to detect tobacco and illegal drugs as well.

Raider will begin work in the school district after students return from spring break.
