KNOX, Ind. -- At approximately 12:52 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, the Knox-Center Township Fire Department was dispatched to a building fire in Washington Township.  

KCFD units arrived on scene first to find a two-story barn style house with heavy fire on all sides.

Engine 2 and Ladder 1’s crews worked together to advance a 2.25-inch fire through the front side and a 1.75-inch fire through the back side.

Due to water supply complications and deteriorating building conditions, members were withdrawn from the building and defensive operations began with multiple hand lines being put into operation.

No one was injured during the fire. 

Firefighters remained on the scene for approximately 3.5 hours before returning to service.
