NOTRE DAME – Football fans span across all ages. On Friday some of the most outspoken ones on Notre Dame’s campus weren't even in college…just yet. The campus was swarming with families walking the campus and cheering at the pep rally.
For many of the kids, they said their family is where their Irish love came from.
“Because my dad is, and I just like Notre Dame. It’s awesome,” said Brandon Richardson.
He traveled seven hours from Kentucky. Richardson, is one of many kids, who isn't afraid to say who he wants to win in Saturday’s Notre Dame Air Force game.
“Notre Dame to beat Air Force,” said Nicholas Shearn.
Shearn said he’s been coming to games for some time now. “I've been coming since I was five, so this is my seventh year,” said Shearn.
And he’s got favorites on the team. “I have two. David Ruffer and Michael Floyd,” said Shearn.
But not everyone is behind the Irish.
“Air Force,” said Brooks Barnhizer when asked who he’d be rooting for on Saturday.
He said he want his Falcons to watch out for one thing against Notre Dame. "Just stay on Michael Floyd,” said Barnhizer.
We’ll just have to wait until Saturday’s game to see who gets the last word in this debate.
The game is at 3:30 p.m. at Notre Dame Stadium.
