Kosciusko Community YMCA announces new fitness center

WARSAW, Ind. - Kosciusko Community YMCA is renovating the former Madison Elementary School building into a new fitness center that will feature state-of-the-art fitness equipment, accessible 24 hours a day, for members, and full-size gymnasium for youth and adult sports, and other programs.

The new complex will include two turf fields open to members, guests, and sports leagues, as well as a volleyball and a wiffleball court.

The K-21 Foundation, Lake City Bank, and Groninger Group LLC are providing the funding for the complex.

“We are excited to be partnering with this team of organizations to deliver such an important facility for the local area,” said Jim Swanson, CEO of Kosciusko Community YMCA. “This part of Warsaw doesn’t have very many health and wellness options at present, so we are proud to be able to offer an exciting new option to our community soon.”

The complex is supposed to be finished this spring.
