KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. – The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two suspicious barn fires in that happened in northwest Kosciusko County on Friday.
The Sheriff’s Office is working with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, the St. Joseph County Police Department, and the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office in this investigation. All of these jurisdictions have had suspicious barn fires this year, reports said.
Residents should report any suspicious activity they see in their area to the Sheriff’s Office at 574-267-5667.
Most of the fires have occurred in the evening and early morning hours.
Patrol units and investigators are looking for the suspect in these areas. Some police vehicles will be unmarked; as such, do not hesitate to report unfamiliar vehicles in your area.
This is an active and ongoing investigation.
