La Grange Police arrest multiple suspects on drug charges

LA GRANGE, Ind. -- While conducting an investigation into a suspicious person report Sunday afternoon, La Grange Police's investigation expanded and led to five people being arrested on drug charges.

On Sunday around 2 p.m., police were called to a suspicious person report in the 300 block of N. Poplar Street.

During the investigation, officers were led to an address in the 200 block of N Poplar Street.

At that residence, one of the subjects attempted to conceal marijuana, police said.

They applied for and were granted a search warrant for the residence.

During the search, officers found multiple bags containing suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The following people were taken into custody:

  • Dwight Mullins of LaGrange faces preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a common nuisance.
  • Jennifer Johnson of LaGrange faces preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a common nuisance.
  • Travis Packer of LaGrange faces preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of hypodermic needles, possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance. He also had an arrest warrant out of Elkhart County.
  • Carrie Miller of LaGrange faces preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of hypodermic needles, possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance. The subject also had an arrest warrant out of Elkhart County.
  • Donald Buel Jr of Michigan faces preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
